Community Services Programme

The Department of Community, Rurual and Gaeltacht Affairs has recently announced a Community Services Programme call for 2008

Guidelines and application forms for the programme can be downloaded from the Pobal website at www.pobal.ie.

This is primarily a labour market programme that provides supports for staffing of specific projects. under the 2008 programme, there are three eligible strands: -

Strand 1: Supervising community halls & facilities
Strand 2: Community services
Strand 3: Community enterprises

Six quality applications have been received under the programme with a focus on sport and physical activity from the following organisations: -

Strand 1: Daingean Sports Complex Committee and Crinkle Sport & Recreation Centre
Strand 2: Rahan Parish Development and Offaly Camogie Development Committee
Strand 3: Offaly Centre for Independent Living and St. Joseph's Sports Committee

Offaly Sports Partnership wishes the applicants will in the local and national competitions for this programme.
