What National Governing Body Grant Schemes are available?
Basketball Ireland Grow a Club Scheme
Basketball Ireland provides schools and community groups interested in establishing a basketball club in an area where none exists can apply for the "Grow a Club Scheme". The Midlands Regional Development Officer (RDO), David Donnelly will meet with applicants to discuss the formation of the club, and if accepted onto the scheme, the new club may receive Level 1 or 2 support.
A level one starter pack consists of 1 match ball, 5 practice balls and 2 scorebooks. The level two starter pack consists of 1 match ball, 5 practice balls, 2 scorebooks, free Basketball Ireland membership, 10 reversible bibs and a discount for directional arrow and foul marker set.

Tullamore Basketball Club were the first Midlands "Grow a Club" in 2006, and are now thriving with 2 senior teams and 2 junior teams actively particiapting in competition.
