Welcome to Offaly Sports

Offaly Sports Partnership was initiated in 2003 and received full designation in 2006. It is an inter agency group which is a sub structure of the County Development Board and is supported by the Irish Sports Council. The Partnership is currently in the process of developing its next five year plan (2011 - 2015) to further increase participation in sport and physical activity in the county.

Based on an initial review, four key themes within the new plan will be: -

1. Lifelong involvement in sport
2. Sustainable inclusion of low participation groups
3. Dialogue for increasing participation
4. The marketing of sport

The Partnership is currently inviting submissions from the public on one or more of the themes above, or on any matter related to increasing participation in sport. Written submissions should be sent to Eamonn Henry, Coordinator Offaly Sports Partnership, c/o Community & Enterprise, Offaly County Council, Áras an Chontae, Charleville Road, Tullamore, Offaly or by email to ehenry@offalycoco.ie. All submissions are to be received by close of business on Wednesday, 29th September 2010.

Offaly Sports Partnership aims to increase participation in sport and physical activity throughout county Offaly.
