Ardara Walking Club

I have great pleasure in advising you that, after an appeal for new walk leaders, 16 members have volunteered to lead for the coming year. This has enabled us to have a walk every weekend!

See Offaly Sports Partnership's events page for our list of walks for the entire year, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s a great choice of walks. Most of the walks are on Sundays, but we have also included 3 Saturday walks as we often get requests for them. Depending on the demand we experience, we will be able to gauge if there is sufficient demand for Saturday walks to include even more in years to come!
 
We have no walks on 2 weekends as the Slieve Bloom Walking Club have their annual Walking Festival on May Bank Holiday Weekend, and they are also holding an Eco Walk Weekend in July. Indeed, some of our members are leading in both these festivals, and there is a great selection of walks on offer. Membership of Ardara Hill Walking Club is now due for 2011 (€20 for individuals or €30 for a family). You can pay at the next walk you attend. Alternatively we have a NEW option – pay online. Finally, I want to thank all our walk leaders who have volunteered their services – without them we would not have a walking club! To have so many offering their services shows just how strong our club has become, and augers well for the future of the Ardara Hill Walking Club.
