Miriam O'Callaghan, former President of the Camogie Association and Chair of Offaly Sports Partnership, will take up a new position as Communications and PR Member on the Camogie Association National Governing Body.
Volunteering for Camogie was launched at Camogie Congress on Friday, March 25th by President of the Camogie Association Joan O'Flynn and Chair of the Volunteer and Officer Support and Development Committee, Maire Ni Cheallaigh. The booklet, which was produced by the Committee, under the National Development Plan 'Our Game, Our Passion' is an important resource for all units of the Association. It is available to download on www.camogie.ie
The Camogie Association launched the Camogie Development Initiatives Booklet and Mum & Me Handbook at Congress 2011. Both booklets are available to download from camogie.ie and are important resources for all coaches and participants in all camogie initiatives.
Camogie Coaches - If you are a camogie player or coach and you are planning on travelling to Australia, United States or Canada and you are interested in acquiring a recognised Camogie Coaching qualification prior to your departure, then the Camogie Association want to hear from you!
The Camogie Association are making provisional plans to run a Foundation Camogie Coaching Course (open to males and females) for people travelling overseas.
In the event that you attend and receive the recognised Foundation Camogie Coaching Course Certificate, the Camogie Association will inform the respective Overseas Camogie Boards of recently graduated coaches.
