Based in Castlebar, National Learning Network’s Sporting Chance programme is a two-year course which opens the doors to exciting employment opportunities in the sports and leisure sector.
Students who successfully complete the course will gain top-level leisure industry qualifications including a FETAC Level 5 Award in Sport & Recreation, as well as other nationally recognised qualifications such as the ITEC Gym Instructor Diploma and a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
Students on the five-day a week course receive in-centre tuition from National Learning Network’s qualified instructors, as well as additional training from coaches within various sporting National Governing Bodies.
Entry Requirements: Applicants must be over 16 years of age and be eligible for / in receipt of a disability OR welfare payment from the Department of Social Protection.
