First aid training

Offaly Sports Partnership are pleased to announce that five initial dates have been agreed for sports first aid training as outlined below: -
  1. Saturday, 27th November - Crinkill Sport & Recreation Centre from 9.30am to 3.30pm: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/sports-first-aid-tickets-209111547267

  5. Saturday, 11th December - Acorn Project, St Joseph’s Hall, Edenderry from 9.30am to 3.30pm: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/sports-first-aid-tickets-209168036227

 

Typically €30; this course is being offered at a non-refundable cost of €10 for persons falling into any of the target groups outlined below: -

  • females over 16 years
  • low income households
  • older adults, 55+ years
  • people of an ethnic minority background including Travellers
  • people with disabilities
  • the unemployed / under employed
  • young volunteers, 16 - 23 years

When booking, please indicate which target group(s) those booking the event fall under

 

Please note: -

  • a maximum of 12 people can be accommodated on each of the training sessions
  • participants must be o16 years; and double vaccinated to take part in the training. Vaccination certificates will be checked in advance of entry to the premises where the event is being hosted
  • participants must wear a face mask which covers the nose and mouth when participating in this training
  • if you wish to take notes, please bring your own stationery as the tutor will not be in a position to provide stationery

 

Tickets for each event are accessible via the Eventbrite links detailed above and should be available for purchase from 9am on Friday, 12th November. Bookings are taken on a 1:1, first come, first serve basis; and where a course is fully booked, “ticket” sales will automatically close and no further tickets will be made available. If you or members of your club have missed out on the opportunity to attend any of these training sessions, please contact sports@offalycoco.ie with your details to be added to a wait list for future courses.
