Healthy Offaly Community Mental Health Fund - small grants scheme

The scheme aims to support local Community, Voluntary and Sporting organisations to deliver small scale projects supporting mental health within their Communities

The total fund available under the small grants scheme will be €30,000. It is anticipated that 15 grants averaging €2,000 each will be allocated (subject to a sufficient number of quality applications being received).

Applications will be accepted from Community, Voluntary and Sporting organisations based in Offaly.

Applicants must be members of the Offaly Public Participation Network; or undertake to join the Offaly Public Participation Network if their application is successful. Indicative eligible actions for funding include: -

  • Wellbeing activities
  • Actions supporting the implementation of ‘Connecting for Life’*
  • Mental health training through partnerships / collaboration (e.g. first aid for your mental health)
  • Social prescribing 
  • Educational initiatives (e.g. Fearless)
  • Family support projects
  • Infant and Children’s mental health initiatives
  • Social farming programmes

Applications should be made electronically; and should be submitted by email to be received no later than 12 noon on Friday, 28th August.
