Following a recent Offaly Sports Partnership Management Committee meeting, Jude Feehan, Chair of the Sports Partnership announced that 34 clubs in Offaly are to benefit from its club development grant scheme 2026. The total fund available across this year’s grant scheme was €17,000.
Announcing the funding Mr Feehan said,
“the importance of sport for people’s physical and mental health can never be underestimated. We are pleased to be able to support clubs looking to develop their clubs into the future.
We are very grateful to Sport Ireland for approving this funding in our annual budget”.
Clubs funded represent a large cross section of sports including angling, athletics, boxing, camogie, community games, cricket, cycling, diving, equestrian, GAA, golf, hockey, pitch & putt, racquet sports (badminton, pickleball and squash) and soccer. The beneficiary clubs will each received a grant of €500 towards the implementation of their participation programmes. Clubs funded include: -
