Offaly Sports Partnership would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Ballycommon GAA on their success in securing €5,000 for their club under the Texaco Support for Sport 2025 scheme.
Texaco Support for Sport are delighted to share the names of the clubs that have been successful in this year’s Texaco Support for Sport initiative. Chosen by our independent adjudicator, Donncha O’Callaghan, 26 clubs shared an overall budget of €130,000 (the full list of successful clubs can be viewed here.)
Eight GAA clubs (incorporating camogie, Gaelic football and hurling), four athletic clubs, three soccer clubs, two rowing clubs and two rugby clubs will be awarded €5,000 each, alongside seven clubs whose disciplines include basketball, bowling, cycling, golf, gymnastics, inline hockey and swimming. A great diverse mix of sporting disciplines which we hope will help to nurture grassroots talent, improve facilities, purchase new equipment or contribute to inclusivity measures which will broaden and enhance each club’s appeal and subsequently grow their membership.
Since our initiative began five years ago, we are proud to have distributed almost €650,000 to a variety of more than 125 sports clubs throughout the country; and it is our hope that our sixth initiative, which will launch in the New Year, will continue in this regard.
Full details will be available to view on our website in the New Year – www.texacosupportforsport.com.
