Robert Mc Dermott, Chair Offaly Sports Partnership, today (Monday, 26th April) launched a new Covid19 impact on sport grant for sports clubs / organisations in Co Offaly.
This COVID19 impact on sport grant is part of an ongoing series of COVID19 related funding schemes from Sport Ireland to support the sports sector in response to the Covid19 crisis.
The grant is designed to address the impact that Covid19 has had on organised sport in Co. Offaly; and to provide some small support to sporting organisations to alleviate some of the losses that they have incurred since the onset of the Covid19 pandemic.
The total fund available for the county is €25,000; with the level of grant assistance per successful application likely to be in the region of €500 and €1,000. The scheme will be based on identified needs. Offaly Sports Partnership will ensure that the investment is distributed fairly; and every effort will be made to ensure that the wider sports community benefits from this scheme.
