Sport Ireland have created a Women in Sport Week schools’ engagement activity, designed to increase awareness, visibility, and normalisation of women in sport among young people. Aligning with ‘Same Energy' the toolkits encourage students to reflect on how women and girls show the same commitment in sport and why they deserve the same attention, belief, and respect.
The toolkits are designed to be easy for schools to participate in, requiring minimal preparation, while delivering meaningful classroom engagement. See links below for two age-specific toolkits for the SESE curriculum in primary schools and the SPHE curriculum in post-primary schools. These are free to download and use at your school to celebrate Women in Sport Week!
We have put together a Women in Sport Week Spotlight document, showcasing the events and fixtures involving female athletes, taking place from now until the end of March. See the link below!
Sport Ireland and its partners have lots going on for Women in Sport Week 2026. Be sure to follow Sport Ireland on socials and check out your National Governing Body or Local Sports Partnership, to see what’s on in your sport or community.
