Sport Ireland is reminding people to get ready for Women in Sport Week, which runs from Monday, March 3 to Sunday, March 9, and this year celebrates its fifth anniversary. 

Offaly Sports Partnership Announces Club Development Grant Scheme 2025

Jude Feehan, Chair Offaly Sports Partnership, this week launched the 2025 Club Development Grant Scheme for sports clubs based in Offaly who are affiliated to a National Governing Body of Sport recognised by Sport Ireland.

Celebrating Local Champions of Irish Sport: Volunteers in Sport Awards Honour 35 Exceptional Volunteers Nationwide

The Federation of Irish Sport proudly announces the recipients of the 2024 Volunteers in Sport Awards, recognising 35 outstanding volunteers from every county in Ireland (four in Dublin) for their tireless dedication to sport and physical activity in their local communities. These inspiring individuals will be celebrated at a special ceremony on Friday, 28th February 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown. The prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award, which highlights one individual’s extraordinary contribution to Irish sport will be revealed on the day.

The Age & Opportunity Active National Grant Scheme is funded by Sport Ireland and offers financial supports to local clubs, groups and organisations, nationwide who promote increased participation in recreational sport or physical activity for older people

Sports Partnership Announces Grant Scheme Allocations

Jude Feehan, Acting Chair, Offaly Sports Partnership, this week announced that 23 clubs in Offaly are to benefit from its club development grant scheme 2024. The total fund available across this year’s grant scheme was €15,000.
